The sixteenth chapter of Nidanasthana of Sushruta Samhita is called as Mukha Roga Nidanam Adhyaya. This chapter offers with Ailments of the Mouth.

Roga sañkhyā – variety of illnesses
मुखरोगाः पञ्चषष्टिर्भवन्ति सप्तस्वायतनेषु |
तत्रायतनानि- ओष्ठौ, दन्तमूलानि, दन्ताः, जिह्वा, तालु, कण्ठः, सर्वाणि चेति |
तत्राष्टावोष्ठयोः, पञ्चदश दन्तमूलेषु, अष्टौ दन्तेषु, पञ्च जिह्वायां, नव तालुनि, सप्तदश कण्ठे, त्रयः सर्वेष्वायतनेषु ||३||

यस्मिन्नुपकुशः स स्यात् पित्तरक्तकृतो गदः |

गम्भीरपाकाऽप्रतिवारवीर्या त्रिदोषलिङ्गा त्रयसम्भवा स्यात् |
स्फोटाचिता पित्तसमानलिङ्गाऽसाध्या प्रदिष्टा रुधिरात्मिकेयम् ||५०||
